Eldar Rangers

First off a Special Treat, here is my finished Eldar Farseer, all the details and baseing is done so i figured i'd give you a good front/back shot. Hope ya like it.

Finished! finally...Here they are folks hope you enjoy them as much as I enjoyed painting them. Click on the images to get a better look. Really tried to keep these guys earthy, without over useing the Green that i've themed the entire army with. I used gray scales for the cloaks and stuff. I like how they turned out, i was troubled at first, because they really didnt "Pop" out like the rest of my Eldar seem to have so far. But A friend told me They're Rangers, they're supposed to blend in and not stand out. So i'm hoping he was being honest and not just nice. Here they are, comments always welcome.

Lately...

Well lately i've been working on a few different things, some are finished some are still WIP so here are a few shots i've taken

Eldar Rangers 2 of 5

Eldar Farseer and Warlock with Witch Blade

Eldar Seer Council

WraithLord Work In Progress

This is a special marine i'm working on, For my Imperial Fists, i'm Making a SternGuard unit that consists of 5 different chapters of Marines...I really just felt like adding some color and painting some of the different armor sets. They will all have a death watch shoulder pad (thats kinda the fluff behind the unit, they all served previously on a DWKT and they found themselves on the same planet fighting yadda yadda yadda) so here is the Ultra Marine, my First so far
I'd like to thank Model Bits Matt for helping me get the right bits for this specific project, check him out at http://www.modelbits.co.uk

Eldar Warlock

I wasn't even planning on painting today...I 've been putting off my Warlocks and Farseer because i am afraid to paint robes and cloth, i bought the MWG.com Painting Bootcamp DVD and i've watched it several times, and still i was afraid to paint cloth, So i was looking at the Warlocks sitting there, all primed and not painted, and i decided to put on my big boy pants and just give it a go, worst case scenario i have simple green, i could just scrub it right? well i'm not 100% sure what happened, maybe i was Channeling my Aussie buddy Role Player, but some how i think i just painted the nicest mini i've ever painted...i hope i can re-do this performance when i do the rest of them, let me be clear i dont think this is ANYWHERE close to what RP or CiaphasCain or any of those guys do, but for me and my ability, i think i really did well, and i'm proud of this one, i'm uploading the pictures now so i hope they do it justice. again any comments, or any tips you can give so i do a better job, please let me know - Kenny

Its all Starting to come together

I Think i'm finished with the game table i did Codex Gray highlight over the black, and then Folk Art color 450 "Parchment" over the highest of highlights, Its not a Perfect table but not bad for a first one, The Ply wood also started to bow a little so i put a boarder around it, which will also help dice rolls so they dont fall off the table, i also took a few Pictures with my Orks and Eldar that i have the bases done, to show ho they match.

Eldar Guardian: my take on Biel Tan

My Take on the Biel Tan Color Scheme

How To: Magnetize Guardians Weapons Platform

The Magnets I used were 1/4x1/16, that is the larger magnet for the base of the weapons platform, and in each gun I used 2, 1/16x1/32 magnets. You are probably better off using 1/8x1/16 but I didn’t have those so I just used what I had.
Note: Polarity is the MOST IMPORTANT thing to keep track of here, one wrong move and its gonna take A LOT of work to fix it. So make sure you keep track of the Polarity.

First thing you want to do is drill your hole in the top of the weapons platform. You should drill the hole in the area of the female tab end. For the Weapons platforms the platform has a female end that the guns male tab end should fit into, try and get this centered as possible . You will do this before you attack the shield. Then Place the Large magnet into its slot with a little super glue and your set.

Second. Cut the Male tab off of the guns so that it is flush on the bottom.

Third. Drill two small holes for your magnets to fit in. The holes you drill will be the width of the magnets. Or you can just eye ball the magnet to the drill bit.

Fourth. Add a little glue into the holes, not too much glue and Insert magnets, I used the edge of my hobby knife to firmly press down on the magnets to make sure they were flush with the bottom of the gun.

Repeat step 3 and 4 until you have all of your weapons done.

Fifth. Attach the shield to the platform.

Sixth. Try it out! This model is ready to prime and paint!

Hoped this helped!

Little Bit of Eldar to spice things up

Needed a Change of Pace after painting up that Deff Kopta, so i tried yet another Fire Dragon, Those of you who follow me know that Fire Dragons are my Bane, they are really tough to paint due to the face that i SUCK at painting with reds and oranges, and with so much detail on these models i'm having a really hard time. I also have a habbit of putting paint on too thick, its still a little to thick but MUCH better than the others Enjoy!
